Breathe

Breathe is a small desk notifier. When something needs you, the whole top half lifts straight up on a servo and a frosted band of LEDs lights up. Colours and patterns are whatever you set in your own firmware (for example Home Assistant / ESPHome): white, rainbow, warm reds, blues, greens, and so on. It plays short beeps and chimes, then closes itself. What opens it, and what the lights do, is all up to the firmware you put on it. I designed it in code with build123d and print it without supports on my Bambu P1S. What's inside: - ESP32-C3 SuperMini - SG90 micro servo that lifts the top - WS2812 8-LED stick behind a frosted band (you see a glow, not bare LEDs) - MX-style switch under the orange button on top - 12 mm passive buzzer - printed power bus with Dupont pins The servo detaches when idle, so it's silent when it's still. It measures 96 x 66 x 46 mm. It runs on USB-C power. There are 8 printed parts in PLA+, black and orange. The servo sits in a printed cradle with no screws. The C3 frame takes 4 M2 screws. A dab of glue holds the horn tip, and hot glue holds the buzzer and the bus pins. Kit or assembled: The kit has all the parts to build it yourself. It takes about 2 hours and it's an intermediate build. You'll solder header pins on the C3, wires on the LED stick, switch and buzzer, and the power bus. You'll need a soldering iron, heat-shrink or tape, a hot glue gun, super glue, a small Phillips screwdriver, flush cutters, tweezers and a USB-C data cable (not included).
